ABOUT COEUR D'ALENE IDAHO
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho has more groomed snowmobile trails than any other Western state. It’s no wonder that folks in Idaho find snowmobiling one of their favorite recreation activities in the winter. Coeur d’Alene was originally established as the location for fur trading back in the early 1800’s. As time passed, the Lake Coeur d’Alene was used to transport goods around the area. Over time the lake became a popular recreational location as well. During winter months, many people started to use the forests for recreation as well. Today, the recreation around Coeur d’Alene is plentiful.
SNOWMOBILING AROUND COEUR D'ALENE
Coeur D’Alene is easy to get too and hard to leave. The snowcapped mountains make it the perfect place to be in the winter. To experience those snowcapped mountains, the area has a groomed trail system in excess of 1000-miles. A history of timber and mining in the Coeur d’Alene area is what established the extensive network of trails. In addition to the trail system, there is also opportunities for off-trail riding as well. In town and along the trails, there are many local businesses that cater to snowmobiling enthusiasts.
